The card can be used as a basic 24bit graphics card 640 X 480 only I think.
Think it supports higher resolutions ... a max of 1152 x 870 @ 256 colors from what I'm reading/recall.
Without the breakout box it’s not really useful.
Not quite accurate ...
I believe the card can be used to drive a regular computer monitor with a suitable cable, as above.
In terms of video capture and output, there were three options for connections to sources and destinations:
1. The normal VideoVision Studio breakout bar (pictured in the previously provided links - provides composite and S-Video ins and outs, RCA audio in and out)
2. The Radius "Telecast" or 'SP" upgrade option ... which involves an an additional card (Nubus or PCI, depending on which system it is being used in), a rackmount breakout box which provides professional level component video I/O and analog XLR and digital audio I/O), and the ability to genlock to external sync ... along with the 'Medusa" cable to interface that second card to the rackmount breakout box.
3. A Radius RGB Component video cable ... which allowed at least output (if not input/capture) to video decks which support RGB input video as a source for recording (as opposed to normal component video) ... such as the Sony UVW-1400 Betacam SP deck.
I have all three: ... 1, 2, and 3.
Had the Sony UVW-1400 Betacam SP deck at one time as well.
