I was thinking about doing this for System 6 & entering it in the RetroChallenge.

It'll look & play exactly like Super Mario Brothers 3 for the NES.

FEATURESET

1] OBJECTIVE -- Get Steve to Apple HQ in time to introduce a new & insanely great product to the press.

2] Collect 100 Striped Apples For A Free Steve.

3] A MapScreen.

4] PowerUps Will Include A Reality Distortion Field.

5] More To Come !

I'd like you guys thoughts on this.

Would you be interested in such a game ?

CaryMG: Why not write your game using an Infocom or Adventure engine? A fun text based game with puzzles that you can solve on a smart phone or PDA, as well as a full size computer?

Have OS 9.2 but would be funny.

Do you have game programming resources (docs, sample code)available?

What programming language do you use?

Sorry sorry for the late response, everyone! lol

Thanks for the suggestion ! 8^ ]

That's not the kinda a game I'd like to persue.

I want the fun gameplay that "Super Mario 3" offers but with a cool "Apple Lore-ness" to it.

Go for it anyway.

Sounds fun.
Thank you, thank you!

Do you have game programming resources available ?
Not yet, no.

What programming language do you use?
I'll use the C++ guide a fellow MLKer gave me.

And let me say this .....

This absolutely will not be another "Eagles Of Honor" -- which will see the light of day ....

I'm gonna work closely with the coder -- closely in that we'll be in physical proximity.

He's a fellow Manhattanite. lol

Along with bein' a RetroChallenge entry, the longterm goal's an attempt at the Independent Games Festival.
