I recently realized that among my four Profile HDDs, one of them is actually the 10MB model (from looking at the controller and the HDD), even though the model number was A9M0005. See pic below

This spurred me to look into model and serial numbers.
First of, my other three "true" 5MB show different back plate label. The early SN one is a 825-0114C, and it has a smaller plate label. The later machines had a longer label with a FCC number, and a 825-0114-E Apple part number (see below). Also note that the SN are all added and affixed to the main label

Now on to the 10MB model. The examples I see online have a A9M0100 model number and a 825-5024-A Apple part number. But all serial numbers I have seen start with a D, and are printed on the label vs added as a sticky ! They also feature a larger font size. Well, my 10MB (see pic above) has a serial number that starts with a D, has large font size, and is printed on the label. To add to the mystery, it has a very low SN (2617), even though it has the newer sticker design (larger, 825-0114-E part number, and with FCC number etc)
My preliminary conclusion is that my 10MB model was perhaps an early one that used up some of same labels as the 5MB model ?? It would be hard to comprehend, but always possible I guess. I'd be curious to hear from my fellow Profile collectors and see whether we can help better solve my mystery.
