PM 9600: 10/100 Ethernet card?

The 9600 has 10BaseT Ethernet built in. I'd like to speed up file transfers. Are there 10/100BaseT Ethernet PCI cards out there that are compatible with OS 9.2.2? I'd imagine there would have to be, but I have no idea what chipsets to look for, if any.

When I bought my 9600 used years ago it had a RTL8139 based card in it that I could never get working, good to see there is something out there that works and is cheap.  Not something I expect out of a 20 year old machine!

Nice find, $6.95 shipped/new was too good to pass up! Gigabit for my Beige might be good when I set it up as my plotter server. May need to get a second VONETS wireless module if I get tired of sneakering Zips from room to room.

Still haven't tried the 10/100 NuBus card in the pet IIfx, if that works out the SE/30 just might lose out on Server/PhoneNet Bridge machine status.

RealTek 8139 was 10/100.  RealTek 8169 was gigabit.  The RealTek OS9 drivers for the 8169 seem to work pretty well.   Although, in the Umax S900 they will demand an upper slot, which ethernet cards usually do not do.    I've seen multiple reports of problems with the 8139 over the years, unless I'm just reading mtm84's complaint repeatedly in different places.

Never had issues with RTL8139s myself, there's one in my S900, 9600 and random PowerComputing. The card I never could get working was a Netgear card based on an 8169 but with a sample size of one I can't go claiming 8169s are rubbish.
