PC Compatible Card. It allows you to run Dos on an older machine (under OS 8.5) and takes a DIMM slow specifically for the P1. Most likely a Pentium 166. It's the 7" version. I have the 12" version but nothing to connect it to. Anyways, You *MUST* use the same ram that goes in the machine (not like PC-66/100/133) as normal PC ram won't work. Google PC Compatibility card for mac.

Anyways, the Mach 64 was the video chip, the SiS is the sound chip

The white thing is a connector for systems that have internal ports for it (like the AIO machines).

The thing does NOT work with Beige G3s, nor does it work with any G4s. Sorry.

Like I said, google that, and you will get he PC Card tools for it, and the drivers.

It's good for machines like the 7200 or even a 9600 (better bet!)

max it out with 32MB (sometimes 64, it depends on the revision) and get that sucker running!!.

BTW, i couldn't tell by the pictures accurately, what is the length of the card? that will help me tell the CPU speed, i actually think the 7" topped at 90Mhz, and the 12" was the 166.

did you get any cables with it?

Oh, and to answer your question, no, it won't work w/ the G4

i knew what it was just not exactly what it is

im a metric user the card is 17 cm long

i take it the card is able to run windows 95 as well ?

it has ram installed already no idea what kind yet

so now the hunt is on for a pre G3 mac hopefully with a G3 card in it

i have the cable with the internal ports connectors

with some luck its a p1 166 and 32 mb ram

not too shabby for 20

There was a PC card with a K6/466 on it, but it was made by Orange, not Apple.

you mean that little ribbon cable that goes in the white connector and ends in a small card with two prongs so to speak ?

I'd contact the seller and tell him he sent the wrong card. If he actually has an Orange Micro K-466 and simply sent you the wrong package, then you should get the right one. It's a much better card.
