With the last update of its Spark audio wave editor before the company abandoned software for dedicated audio hardware development, tc|werke indicated that no higher system than OS X 10.3.2 had been tested with Spark, and even then advised routine use of 10.2.8.
Seemingly that was extremely conservative. I had maintained a CRT iMac Indigo/G3/500MHz/1GB with 10.2.8 for some years on the strength of that recommendation, but switched to a Digital Audio/G4/733MHz/1.5GB last year because of its better graphics, speed and upgrade path. On a whim I installed 10.3.2 last week, then—finding that Spark did not fall in a mute heap—advanced in turn to 10.3.4, 10.3.7 and 10.3.9. Spark continued to be as agile and useful as it was under 10.2.8, and even more so given its fillip of processor and memory. You may also believe that a 20-in ADC Cinema Display is a great improvement over a CRT iMac's 15in.
Others have agreed with me in the past about the utility and appeal of Spark. What's the highest-numbered OS that anyone else has used to support Spark? and with what results?
