I am super excited that my Apple /// has arrived. It was gifted to me by an old work colleague of my fathers. They used to work at an insurance where they brought them with their own money to bring a modern policy management and risk engineering solution to their desks without having to use the Mainframe. In 1984, my father developed a policy management tool and a light CRM on Adimens, a German relational database. IT was furious but he kept on being encouraged by his regional manager and carried on working on the Apple ///s for years. At one point, I was able to convince my father to upgrade to an LC III with a LaserWriter 360. Copying police data over via the serial ports and then importing it into FileMaker. Those were the days. Now up to getting the CFFA 3000 card running.
