Macintosh Portable 5126 Help!

Working on my Macintosh Portable 5126. I’ve recapped the board and have been going over every inch. I found this broken trace. Does anyone know if this trace is supposed to be connected to that through hole? It’s under cap C2 on the negative leg. I thought it was most likely connected but it didn’t solve the CD38 issue. I can undo it, but it will still be broken and I won’t be able to know if another fix will work or if this broken trace will hold me back.

It should be going between the two capacitor legs, it's not connected to the capacitor. That's just one of the serial port lines so it probably won't have much to do with the error you're receiving.

did this really need its own thread? seems like a continuation of the other one... anyways you likely have a broken trace connecting to the power manager IC.
