Macintosh Portable 5126 Help!

Working on my Macintosh Portable 5126. I’ve recapped the board and have been going over every inch. I found this broken trace. Does anyone know if this trace is supposed to be connected to that through hole? It’s under cap C2 on the negative leg. I thought it was most likely connected but it didn’t solve the CD38 issue. I can undo it, but it will still be broken and I won’t be able to know if another fix will work or if this broken trace will hold me back. IMG_1219.jpeg

It should be going between the two capacitor legs, it's not connected to the capacitor. That's just one of the serial port lines so it probably won't have much to do with the error you're receiving.

did this really need its own thread? seems like a continuation of the other one... anyways you likely have a broken trace connecting to the power manager IC.

I have managed to fix quite a few traces. I have what seems to be correct voltages on the board. I can see activity on the CPU data pins.
I’m getting a black screen with the backlight on. I’m wondering now if I have a bad trace on my LCD connector. The pinout is different than the 5120 schematics. Does anyone have the pinout for the 5126?
