Mac SE Hard Drive

I have recently acquired a Mac SE FDHD (M5011)
The floppy drive (1.44MB) is now working and I have "created" a set of system disks using Omniflop.
The system now boots ok (no bong) but as expected the hard drive has failed.
I know I could use somthing like Blue SCSI but as I have an old SCSI drive I was hoping to use it.
I now need a "patched" system disk so it will allow me to format the hard drive.
So I am hoping someone can help, I need a patched disk image in .img format that I can use with Omniflop.
I think this can be done using a Mac but I only have PC's

@joshc probably has you covered :)

You'll need to decompress it inside the emulator mini vmac. Possibly then convert it to a .img if that's what needed. I can't see what the file format is.

Damm ... I jumped the gun when I say it works!
It formatted and partitioned ok and shows up on the desktop, but I can't copy anything to it.
If I try to drag a file to it from the boot floppy disk it says there is not enough room on the disk to copy.
Trying to set up as the boot disk is the same.
The drive is an old Quantun "grand prix" 4.3GB drive.
I am probably doing something wrong or missing something.
I am not familiar with Mac's I am used to PC.s so any help would be appreciated.

What size is the partition on the hard disk? What does it show for "free space available" when you open it in the Finder?

I second this ^ early MacOS can't see or work with partitions over 2GB in size. might have to shrink into 2 or 3 partitions
