I have a Mac Classic that the Flppy Drive dont try to Eject. I just put in a good working floppy drive from a Mac SE/30 and on this machine, if I send the eject, dont work. The issue is on the logic board at this point. Any pointers what to check or replace.

take out the floppy drive and clean it. The ejection is driven by a motor and small gearbox

the gears in these gearbox's break or get seized with old dried up grease

to remove the gearbox there are 2 screws and the connector for the motor

the gearbox lid just clips together - carefully pull back the tabs and lift off the cover

Forgot to add, the drive have been service and new gear box...the issue is that the machine dont turn the eject motor...
