Hi!
Does anyone have experience using the KEYSPAN USB to Serial adapter? I have a PowerBook G3 (333mhz) with 2 USB ports, and a bunch of equipment I´d like to use that have serial connections (serial MIDI-interface and ImageWriter II). Are there anyone here that have experience using this adapter to use with either serial printer or MIDI-interface?

I was able to use mine with an ImageWriter II, but never tried it with a MIDI device.

I ended up buying two - the first one came defective. Fortunately they’re not rare or expensive.

Ok, thanks for the replies! I’ll try and find one for sale and try it out.
Shipping to Norway from the US is about as expensive as the item listing.

I don't consider it a bad adapter, but not a great one either. Instead, I'd advise you to use a generic RS232 adapter with a genuine FTDI chipset.

Some thoughts are in the Serial Data Interlinks section in the link below.

That`s a good read! My G3 has USB so I found some cheap old USB that should work with my G3 and OMS to use the software I want to use. I did order a USB=>Serial adapter and will try to use my ImageWriter with that one. But thank you for expanding my knowledge, loads of useful information on your page!
