Just installed new games on my 520C

I booted-up the old PB 520c last night - still working fine (except for the 5 minute battery life). I cracked open a copy of Mac Attack, which I bought at a clearance sale for $2.99 from Electronics Boutique sometime around 1997 and had a blast. Also installed Star Trek 25th Anniversary edition. The After Dark Star Trek Screen Saver is also a pleasure to watch - now to try and find Looney Tunes.

Cool! Any ideas on what else you are gonna do with it?

I turned mine into a webserver:

I would suggest, max out the RAM, fine an external CD-ROM drive, and throw something like an ftp program on it. Make it a file server for old games ;)

Also, get the ethernet adapter. Will make stuff a lot easier getting stuff onto it, as well as updates.

At this point, I would also suggest a fresh install. It should speed it up. You have no idea how old the previous install was.

Already have most of those bases covered. The PB was already upgraded to 20MB when I bought it used in 2000. Also have the 10baseT transciever and an external 4X SCSI drive with the weird PB cable. It's running on a fresh install of System 7.6. The battery is the only problem spot - but I don't use it as a portable.

Ebay seller macmetex is still stocking the 540c 33MHz CPU modules for like a buck for two. They're a drop-in replacement, and he's a reliable guy.

That module can work without problems in a Powerbook 520?
