I've got an ImageWriter II which seems to work pretty well, except the printout fades on the right 1/2 of the page. (And one other problem, but this is the main issue.)

There are currently no shims installed, and if anything, I'd need to remove one, since I would want to back the left hand side (LHS) away from the platen and then use the adjustment lever to move the whole carrier shaft closer. There doesn't seem to be a shim adjustment on the RHS of the carrier shaft. However, the right hand end of the carrier shaft is... loose? - there's a couple mm of play in it, so I'm wondering if that's normal or if it's supposed to be solidly planted there? (Maybe I need to take it apart and JB Weld something?
The other weird issue I have seems to be software. ClarisWorks 3.0 prints everything out about 70% scale. Word 5.1 and other applications work fine, though. It's strange. (IIsi w/ System 7.5.3.)
