I like ordered lists. Let's go, gamers!:
  • Prototype/alpha/proof-of-concept stage (super-duper short)!
  • Made in HyperCard 2.1
  • First person!
  • Random battles!
  • Character growth through leveling!
  • Challenging!
  • Content added in each update!
  • Free forever!
Here are a few screens:

You can grab the game from the Macintosh Garden!:

It’s beautiful. I love it. I always wanted to creature a great Mac RPG. I assembled a basic game engine and outsourced a beautiful collection of color icons in 1993. Maybe one of these decades I will follow in your footsteps ….

Beautiful graphics. How did you create them?

Much appreciated everyone! 😊
You've made my afternoon :)
The graphics themselves were made in ClarisWorks 2.0 (using their paint application) and SuperPaint 2.0!
I've been working on the project entirely on my SE, and took these screens from an emulator. :)

This looks pretty nice, what are the minimum requirements for this game? I've seen some HyperCard games call for newer PPC macs

This one should be absolutely fine on 68k Macs - I made the project, and have been playing it on, a Macintosh SE with 4MB of RAM :)

Thank you both so much!
It's a project I've been working on in my spare time, so I'm not sure when I'll be finished, but I'll keep folks in the loop when it's done.

Thank you all so much!! :D

I've been swamped with work, but I plan on working on this project a lot more in August if time permits!

It's very prototype-y at the moment, but it hashes out basic system fairly well. :)
