See attached file for two row, 9-pin FPD Radius Cable. I made up the Word Document, it's a work in progress. I have a Radius FPD SE Radius Interface Card and Connector. I used an Ohm Meter and best guess from my electronics background to make the chart. I do not have a Radius FPD Monitor (9-Pin Connector) or Macintosh SE to test it.

I got the previous composite analog signal (DB-9 Connector) information from Radius FPD Brochures for the Macintosh II.

Can somebody open their 9-Pin Radius FPD Monitor and take pictures of the inside (BE CAREFUL, HIGH VOLTAGE IS STILL PRESENT, EVEN WHEN THE MONITOR IS UNPLUGGED). I want to see were the wires from the 9-Pin connector are going to? I'm assuming the Monitor ID Pins are shorted to each other or they are wired to a standalone resister (IF THEY ARE MONITOR ID PINS????).

From my research, an Apple Portrait Display Monitor (75Hz) will only run on the Macintosh LC or Macintosh Classic FPD Interface Card (75Hz). If you have the correct Cable.

More Q&A form archived Radius Website:

Q: I have an FPD on a Mac Plus. Can I connect a 75 Hz FPD to my Mac Plus with my FPD-Plus Interface?

A: No. The Mac Plus-FPD card only supports 64 Hz and 68 Hz Full Page Displays. These displays have a model number of either 15 RAM x (where "x" represents a one-digit number between 1 and 7)
or FPDS40.

Q: I am running an Apple Portrait Display from an Apple interface card. Can I use a Radius 75 Hz Full Page Display instead?

A: Yes. The 75 Hz FPD is compatible with Apple Portrait Display timings.

P.S. 64 Hz and 68 Hz should have a K (64KHz and 68KHz).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Macintosh Plus, Macintosh SE, Macintosh II and Macintosh SE/30 only have 64KHz and or 68KHz Radius FPD Interface Cards (9-Pin Connectors). There is possibly are rare exception were a FPD SE Interface Card was made that would support 75Hz. See attached image of rare FPD SE Interface Card???

Radius Full Page Display Monitors (75Hz) with the VGA type Connector will work on the Macintosh II Series Computers and later Macintosh's (Motorola CPU) with built-in video circuitry. PowerPC Macintosh's from the 1990's will also support the FPD Monitor (75Hz) with built-in video circuitry. Early Macintosh LC series Computers will not support it.

Hi Everyone,

I've just picked up a Radius Full Page Display with a 9 pin connector.
Unfortunately I didn't have any Radius FPD card :-(

I have a FORMAC SE/3 card with DB9 out as well as a Radius 24 bit accelerated I/F card or an Apple Workstation/Portrait video card (13w3 connector).

What are the chances to get an image on the Radius FTP ? none ?

Thanks a lot
