Dead LC 580

I just got a LC 580 that won't power up. When I turn on the power switch, I can hear the CRT crackle, so I know that is getting power. I have moved the motherboard and hard drive to another computer, so I know they both work. I cleaned all the dust and fuzzballs out and checked all the connections were hooked up. What can be the cause of power going to the screen but not the motherboard??

It is most likely the motherboard connector. Macs with slide-out motherboards can be extremely tempermental. I've had to slide out and shove in the motherboard ten times before I could get it to power on correctly on one of my LC 580s. Vacuum it out again and keep trying...
