Classic on the side of the road...

Yes, that's right. I just found a used Macintosh Classic on the curb right next to my house! It was even in a fancy bag. It was quite a cold day when I found it, so I'm kind of surprised the hard drive still worked when I booted it up. It had a few games, and I also installed Superpaint, Photoshop (which is extremely slow on a 68000, mind you), Kid Pix, Director, Compact Pro, and Backdrop (so I could have a few fancy desktops on my new machine.). It came with some screenplay writer app, Word 5.1, Reader Rabbit (AKA the most boring way to teach reading skills in the known universe), which I promptly deleted, and a few games, like Sokoban, Crystal quest, GNU Chess, and some RPG.

It sounds like something from "The Importance of being Earnest".
