Hey there!

Has anybody found that browsers for OS 8 and 9 no longer load pages correctly? I want to see my facebook on Mozilla and not even that works fine...Does anyone know of any broswers that work decently with new pages? Thanks!

Have to say, one good thing about the popularity of mobile browsing is the amount of sites that now have a mobile version...really helps these older machines. :)

I just found an online utility that can optimize any website to allow you to view it with an older or mobile browser. Check out http://www.baresite.com/ However, there are a few problems with it. For example, you may not be able to access everything on more complex web pages. Alternatively, you could try Mowser, which seems to do a better job.

If all else fails, I'd recommend just viewing the page in basic HTML.

A lot of websites these days really hate us Classic Mac users. > :( :'(

What is it about them that makes it hard to load on Macs? Is it the CSS? or too much multimedia?

It seems to be the CSS and Javascript more than anything else.
Come to think of it, someone should try modifying the classic Mac OS version of Mozilla so that it can browse the modern web. Or better yet, create a new, fast web browser that can do that. Maybe throw in Gnash and the latest Java.
