Brøderbund Floppy Disks

Has anyone else ever noticed that Brøderbund has used different colours of floppy diskettes for the same program?

Examples:

Kid Pix: My copy is on two whitish-coloured 800K disks. I've also seen it on a set of two blue 800K disks with a different label. (There was one on eBay a few weeks ago that was blue).

Print Shop: I have two copies on blue disks, one on a black disk, and one on a whitish disk (all are 800K).

Spelunx: Some of my disks are whitish-coloured and the others are blue! Anyone else with Spelunx, do you have this with your set of five disks as well?

I think I found out part of the mystery.

Brøderbund seemed to move their offices from San Rafael to Novato sometime around 1991-1992. The disk labels have their address on there.

The theory about year arises from BannerMania. My old BannerMania disk that I've had for a while has a blue label with the old address. The newer disk I got in February not only has a newer label, a different coloured disk, and the new address, but also seems to be a newer version. The date and time on "About BannerMania" from the Apple menu are different.

If anyone knows when Brøderbund moved, let me know!

Sure miss the old Brøderbund stuff...whoever owns it now needs to carbonize all the oldies for OS X...and I mean the original stuff, not these new modern overly-glitzy Print Shops, Kid Pixes, and Carmen Sandiegos that emphasize form over function...I read a review of Kid Pix (the new version) in either MacWorld or MacLife/MacAddict a few years ago and let me tell you, it looked nothing like the old familiar Kid Pix we 68K vets know and love.

I've got three Broderbund titles on floppy disk:

Spelnux: 5 black disks

Prince of Persia: 3 blue disks

Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?: 1 white disk

For the record, according to wiki, Broderbund was bought out by TLC in 1998, who is now owned by someone called "RiverDeep"
