Hi. Just wondering if anyone has a spare 5.25 cleaning disk they could spare? I would like to see if cleaning the heads can get my 2c drives to read disks again.

Have you tried using a cotton bud (Q-tip) with some isopropanol ? Probably better than any kit.

There is a person in Italy making new cleaning disks. I don’t think isopropyl works as well as whatever they used to use (Freon?) but I’m happy with mine. The seller is also super nice.

Q-tips don’t work as well for me as those flat foam swabs.
