Apple CD 300...one of my "holy grail" items!

As some of you will probably remember, I've been after an AppleCD 300 (caddy loading) for quite some time. And today I got one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181044159003?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Cost me a bit...but I'm really quite happy about this, mine died about 10 years ago, and I've been after one on and off pretty much ever since, in order to fully restore my LC III (my first Mac, had it since new) to the way it was back in the 90's.

For what its worth, said LC III is actually at home, back in regional Queensland (the next state) along with the other 98% of my collection...I fly back tomorrow for Christmas, and get back into Sydney on New Years Eve. Quite a shame that the auction wasn't a couple of weeks ago, the CD300 could've come home with me....oh well.

Picked up an Apple CD 300e Plus off of either eBay or Amazon (don't quite recall) for $30 a couple of weeks ago.

Came with a bonus too: CD of Office 98. Using all 1s unlocked the CD key, and so now have MS Office on my PowerBook.

Will use the Apple CD 300e Plus for my Classic II (once I get my recapped main board back).

Saw that, it got good money. Wonder how much my boxed one would be worth? Have fun with it!
Probably still nowhere near as much as my original one was back when it was boxed. (in 1993) I seem to recall Dad paying somewhere around the $800 mark for it.
