Anybody have experience with Radius Rocket Stage II cards?

(I posted this in TinkerDifferent a few days ago. So far, no response, so I thought I'd try here)

I recently picked up two Radius Rocket Stage II cards via eBay.

One of them seems to be working (kind of). The other does not.

I'm testing them in a Mac IIfx.

The one that's working is only detecting 64MB of the 128MB RAM I installed. I have to do more testing to see if it's not detecting RAM in one of the banks. Is 64MB the max RAM it can use? I saw something that said the first gen cards could use 128MB.

The one that's not working does not detect RAM in either bank and the RocketShare program says there is a hardware problem.

Does anyone have a manual for the Stage II cards? So far, I've only found manuals for the original cards.

Does anyone have experience troubleshooting/fixing these cards? I wouldn't mind sending them off to someone with experience to diagnose and fix.

I'm in the Toronto/GTA area if anyone knows a local tech that might be interested.

I still have couple of weeks to request a return. I'm trying to decide if it's worth trying to fix the cards or just cut my losses.

128MiB should work in all Stage IIs, as far I know. However, I believe they're picky about memory types. Are all sticks the same kind? If not some may not be compatible. Also verify you have the memory speed jumpers set to match your memory. If it's too fast for the memory it's liable to cause a lot of problems.

I've been searching for the manual awhile but haven't found anything.

Do you have them in the slot closest to the PSU, and testing one at a time? They pull a lot of power and the demands can cause problems.

This is the RAM I'm using: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/152119480198

I got excited and bought 16 sticks (enough to max out both cards). 😅

I didn't know to try using the slot closest to the PSU. I have a SuperMac Graphics card in that slot. I'll do as you say and try them in the closest slot, one at a time.

Thanks for the advice.
