What is it about vintage Apple hardware that attracts more vintage Apple hardware?

A few months ago I found an LC550 at a recycler, and now I have an PowerBook G3 to go along with it!  She is a 300Mhz Wallstreet PDQ that I picked up off Craigslist for $10.  The guy didn't have the AC adapter, so I bought a new yo-yo style one off eBay for $18.  It came in today and the Wallstreet works!

The hard drive struggled quite a bit during the first boot, but seems to be running fine now.  We will see how it holds up.  I want to replace it with a CF card, so it's not a big deal if it dies.  I ran Battery Reset Utility 2.0 and the battery seems to be charging right now.  This PowerBook is extremely clean and there is no sign of use whatsoever on the trackpad or the keyboard.  She booted into a completely clean install of 8.5 with no signs of use, and she still has that "new computer smell".  It is my educated guess that this machine saw little to no use and has been sitting for well over a decade.

The Wallstreet is a formidable, sleek design. I'll never not be impressed by it... but that condition is stunning. Take good care of it!

Thanks guys.  I am really excited about this one!  I had an indigo Clamshell iBook that I sold a few months ago, and I kind of regretted getting rid of it.  Feels nice to have another laptop of similar vintage again.

I left the PowerBook charging while I was at work, and it seems to have taken a full charge.  Hopefully I will be able to get away with not having to buy a new battery for it.

Here's a better pic of the inside of the machine:
