68kmla down?

It's just on three days since I last logged into this site (GMT 1648 Thu 27 Aug 2008). During the interval, neither 68kmla.org nor 68kmla.com returned anything but a black background, a Sad Mac and the two-line error code ERROR/00404. Now that I can connect again, I find no mention of an outage in any recent posts. ¿Que?

hmmm... no idea. I have been on this site for the last three days and never got any issues like that. Perhaps your ISP was caching an old page or something?

I have not experienced anything except the standard board I am used to.

I'd suggest emptying your internet caches.

For me it was down a week or so ago, and I happened to notice it was the same day that the domain was up for renewal. I was a bit concerned...

Yeah, when the domain was renewed, the nameserver addresses got reset, so they no longer pointed at the server. It took us a bit to notice and get it changed back [)] ]'>

As of when I posted above all has been as hitherto. I had emptied my Safari cache for other reasons before the Sad Mac episodes began. Now that connection to 68kmla has been re-established, the same bookmarks et alia as before function flawlessly, so I have no credible explanation of the phenomenon. Nor has my ISP been suspicionable, in this instance at least. The episode was just another Murphyism, it seems.
