After what seems like forever, I am finally the owner of a PowerBook G4 12".
It comes to me by way of a business associate who I first met in 2005 and see once or twice a year. The thing is, just about every time I see him he has a different 'Book. Apparently, he upgrades fairly frequently and passes the older ones to his son and grandson. Pretty early, I took to kidding him that, if he every starts getting rid of any at the bottom end, to keep me in mind. Long story short, I contacted him a couple of months back, inquiring about the 12" he used to have and he promised to bring it along the next time we got together. So, yesterday, he showed up at the meeting we are having and handed me this...
It's a 1.33 ghz model from 2004 with 768mb RAM (1gb chip already on order), 60gb drive and factory Superdrive. Overall condition is fair to good with a couple of annoying scratches on the lid and some wear on the palm rest. It's clearly had a couple of bumps, though, as there is some bending in places along the edge of the bottom case and the battery is missing its "cover". (Anybody got a spare for cheap?) It seems to be running nicely, though, under 10.5.8. No pictures yet, though.
FYI, I'll probably be retiring a Lombard 333mhz in a couple of weeks. Feel free to PM me if you have any interest.
