I have a recently-acquired SE/30 here... Wouldn't boot, no surprise. C2 had spewed electrolyte all over the surrounding chips (especially UE10 and UD8). Cleaned that up the best I could, replaced UD8 (pin 1 had disintegrated) and recapped the board. Got the interesting symptoms shown in the...
Hey, remember me? I decided to compile more builds of Mini vMac again.
As I assume the 68kMLA still disapproves of ROMs being posted, those have been omitted from this disk image. They shouldn't be very hard to find, however. All of them are widespread across the Internet by now.
These builds...
Might as well post this here... >_>
Note: I'm being lazy this time and only compiling 12 differant versions...
Win32 builds: http://macgeek417.uni.cc/b/files/minivmac-3.2.1-win32.zip
I am going to see about compiling Linux builds in a bit on my (semi-new) Core i5 laptop
No OS X builds...
I just got all of this for free!
Pics coming later (am on my NDS)
1x ADB keyboard - needs some cleaning.
2x old mac null modem cables or whatevertheyarecalled.
2x old mac serial cable extension cables.
1x HyperCard manual
2x PS/2 mice
1x SCSI Zip drive - couldnt find any cables for it

Someone posted disk images of these at E-Maculation - He found them at BetaArchive's upload server and they never got moved to the download server there.
After peeking through them a bit with ResEdit, the System file appears to be 0.97, with old Finder apps.
So, you think...
OK, since NOT posting these here would make like no sense...

These should be pretty much self-explainatory...
This just popped into my head. IIRC, it was called "The J Project", it was an old mac game. IIRC it said it was written in Cocoa. No, not as in Mac OS X, the OLD Cocoa. You controlled a cheesey character with the arrow keys, the first area IIRC had a door and an elevator thingy in the next area...
I was in the process of imaging my copy of ClarisImpact 1.0v1. I imaged Disk 5. Success. Disk 4. Success. Disk 3. Read error at the very end, but ShrinkWrap managed to image it. Disk 2. Success. Disk 1 - It doesn't even recognize it. RAWREAD on a PC reports
C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1>rawread...
My current sig isn't too long, is it? IIRC, someone said "more than 3 or 4 lines is probebly too much" and it's about 4 lines of size=100 text, so just checking before someone bites my head off for having "too long of a signiture"
:)
I just noticed that the max size changed from 500 chars to 255 chars. Why? (That'd be unconvienient if i go to edit it as my sig has exactly 500chars in it!)
What was wrong with 500chars?
What to do with my LC III...
Right now it's just sitting here, so anyone got any ideas of what I could use it for? It'd be a shame for it to just sit here unused...
On ftp.apple.com. there are a bunch of versions of programs called Radar and Sonar. what are they?
EDIT: also, what are RFA and NFA, Espresso, and AppleConnect? There's all sorts of stuff on a hidden directory.
The PowerMac 9500 i will probebly be getting has a card that i have finaly identified as a Pro Tools card. Is it worth anything? I dunno where the thing that plugs into it is.
My LC III's harddrive is waaay too small, so could anyone point me to an ebay auction for a compatible scsi hard drive? i can't seem to get any results.
When I boot my iMac summer2k into OS9, it is really *slow*
everything takes *forever*
when i boot it up, one icon appears on the desktop, then a second later the text below it appears, then one second later the next icon appears and so forth.
Drawing windows tkes forever too. Anyone know why...
