does anyone have the OS X server 1.0 source?
Also known as Darwin 0.1 files stamped 16th March 1999
it contains a lot of Next code and Apple's original OS X planned features
I found only a incomplete mirror.
1.Nintendo did the same mistake on the Gamecube and Wii,only 256 kb cache.
2. A CPU upgrade manufacturer found out that there is only a minimal speed gain if they use a DDR RAM cache on a G4.
1. Getting some system 7.1 source into A/UX.
2. Running A/UX on MESS,emulation up to Mac IIcx or ci.
Every interested guy can help A/UX then.
3. NEXTSTEP being ported to mac68k }:)
4.Improving A/UX,more HW support,better X11 support,speed optimisations.
You can try out the much more usable MacOS betas called 7.7.
They are a continuation of 7.6 at the time they stopped Copland and
have almost the same UI look.
A small part of Copland source got into Darwin I already wrote about that.
Congratulations,you catched it.
The project "Big Mac" existed in protoype stage, you can find screenshots on the web.
It was a 68020 UNIX system but with b/w display and some prelimiary ADB bus.
www.mess.org
the current SVN build got a 68030 emulation from MAME
and the developers wrote emulation code for a SE/30 and the II family.
This emulator supports almost all variations of old computers and consoles, most of them very accurate.
It may be the first emulator for running A/UX.
Or...
I found the blog of someone who povides links to the Copland developer PDFs that came on the CD's.
Of course its called Mac OS 8,like in the small source parts that made it into Darwin.
