Noctua has 3000/2400/1600rpm options… would anyone run it at 2400/1600 for lower noise?

Do I need to discharge the CRT if I will only be installing a FPU and removing the SCSI hard drive or is It safe? I can leave the Mac off for 2-3 days if needed..
