Anyone has any idea why this serial would be on my portable? Or if it’s some kind of misprint, I did a serial #decoder and it came up as unknown type. It’s off a portable 5126 machine.it doesn’t appear to have been removed from another machine and attached to mine. I don’t know what to think.
Yeah so I forgot to mention. I took the Logic board and put it in a known good machine and the same thing happens. So it has to be on the logic board. Earlier I found a bad solder joint on one of the axial caps, on the video connector line, but of course it didn’t repair it.
Yes I always do anytime I have one apart even if they aren’t cracked. They will all eventually turn bad. I think I’m just going to have to go over everything. Do y ok think it’s something to do with the analog board or the logic board?
Had this baby a long long time and finally decided to recap the entire machine. Console sent me the goods and I recapped it without a hitch. Went to turn it on and that god awful noise you hear was coming out of what looks and sounds like the flyback. But I don’t know what I could have done has...
Just installed a chip in G9 and new code is 040CE0. So I fixed the “1” now to figure out the rest. Thanks for all y’all’s help, I’m going to try and make heads or tails or the previous chart.
Found a very nice week 29 128 today on marketplace here in Atlanta. She told me it wouldn’t turn on. Of course, it does but the only code I’m getting code is “041CE0”. I’ve been trying to use the the website to decipher it and the only thing I think I can come up either is data bit 12 location...
Got ya. So if you ever start repairing boards again. I’d love to send you mine as I am not skilled enough to do this type of repair. I will pay you well. So please just let me know man. I hope you’re doing well!
Repaired all the Caps and lifted pads and still getting the same message. I can’t make heads or tails of the schematic for the non back-lit. The PMGR is the same (i think). But there is no hybrid chip on my board instead a much smaller op-amp is labeled U1M. Are there any schematics floating...
That’s also the same page where I found the C26 cap but it’s connected to the hybrid chip. Which on my board is much smaller than what’s on the M5120 schematic. So I’m too sure how to read what’s going on.
If you look st the next page Hybrid/power supply. There are some lines named battery sense and power supply....etc not too sure if that is related to what I’m looking for
