Hi All,
I've placed a Mac mini into a Mac SE/30 case and then installed a 9.7" iPad screen with driver board to create a cool little Mac unit. I plan on running a Classic Mac emulator on this unit.
One issue I have is that the screen size is bigger than the size of the Mac SE/30 front panel...
Oh wow - fantastic link. I'm very comfortable removing the U7 IC but just wanted to check I get the bodge wire correct which looks like it goes from PIN #1 of U5 to PIN #7 of U7. Is that correct?
Looks like it's called a MicroMac Performer. I managed to find the drivers but apparently just works without them.
My only concern is that the PDS connector I bought looks like it might cause the card to be too high when installed. Does anyone know if there are "low rise" PSD slots that can be...
Hi All,
I have picked up a MicroMac card per attached picture. Note that it apparently came from a Mac Classic but I believe it's supposed to work in a Mac SE as well. I had to purchase a new PDS slot connector and will solder in the next few days.
I of course made the assumption that if I...
Did a reflow of suggested pins on analog board and also neck board. I have now noticed an odd re-boot sequence - wondering if the power supply is failing? See attached video.
Ok, some good news and some bad news. I checked all the joints and reflowed a few. Now get a nice boing boot sound but I get thin bright horizontal line across the scree which is a step up from the blank screen I guess.
I've tried reflowing the P1 connector and also replaced the TDA1170N IC...
Hi All,
I have a Mac SE that both the motherboard and analog board have been recapped. The machine powers on and I get the familiar boing. Fans spin up but screen remains blank. Is this just likely a replacement of the two 470k ohm resistors R22 and R25?
Thanks
Sonny
Just for a status update. I've modded the back panel of my Mac SE/30 to accomodate a switch and DB15. I've wired up the DB15 and awaiting the arrival of a connector for the XCEED card. I'm going forward with the advice above for wiring.
Just for clarity, you said pin 12 (CableOK) should go to...
Thanks. Think I have it worked out now.
Just one question. Looking at adapter cables from other units, it doesn’t seem like the cable connects to anything other than the card to the DB15 connector. So to toggle between GND and VCC for PIN 11, where do I get VCC from?
