Power Computing PPC and BeOS 5

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but I finally got around to installing BeOS 5 Pro on my Power Computing 604/150 last night, so it's sitting happily on one HDD with 8.6 sitting happily on the next. Question: Does BeOS R5 on the PPC not support OHCI devices? I have no USB mouse and...

    ATI Mach64 colors...

It occurred to me yesterday that the colors on my fine Power Computing 604/150 looked a bit odd. Mostly the Mac face was pinkish, rather than blueish. Upon closer examination and a trip into Photoshop, I discovered that on the RGB sliders, Red is blue and Blue is red. The ATI card has both a...

    Dumpster drive PPC finds!

Found a Power Computing 604/150 Mac clone and an Apple 7100/66av. The Power Computing system has a 2 GB HDD, a SCSI CD-ROM, an ATI video card, and 384 MB of memory. The Apple has a 700 MB hdd, a CD-ROM, a video card, and I believe 8 MB of memory (having actually fired it up yet).

PCI USB card w/ 8.6 support?

A recent dumpster diving trip rewarded me with a Power Computing 604/150, which is a 150 MHz PPC 604 mac clone. It's got three PCI slots, 384 MB of memory, and a 2 GB SCSI hard drive. The HDD has 8.6 installed on it already. I'd like to leave 8.6 on it, and maybe install BEOS on it as well...

    Apple IIgs Disk drive issues...

More fun with the Apple IIgs. I'm trying to get four drives working with my IIgs. A friend of mine lent me a bunch of 3.5" drives, and I've got two 5.25" drives. No matter which of the 3.5" drives I use, I can never see the second 3.5" drive. Even if I leave the 5.25" drives disconnected, I...

    IIgs ROM 3 compatibility

I keep seeing references to the ROM 3 boards being faster, but slightly less compatible. My googling has failed to turn up any definitive answer to what these compatibility issues might be, though, or how the word 'slightly' is defined. Does anyone have an idea on this, or a link to a FAQ that...

    Mac SE Case Cleaning help

I searched and found a thread about cleaning up the 'regular use' dirt off of a compact mac, but my problem is a little yuckier. At some point in my Mac's life, some stuck (I'm guessing) a couple of those 'paper holder' things on both sides of the case. The only remnant of this outrage are...

    Mac SE and Dynaport SCSI/Link-T

I found a Dynaport SCSI/Link-T SCSI-to-ethernet adapter today. Googling makes it look like this will be a decent option for getting my Mac SE Superdrive on-line. Has anyone had any experience with this, or any wisdom they might impart? I found some 'All Dynaport Drivers' downloads on...

    Daynaport SCSI/Link-T

Woot! A little dumpster diving has provided me with a Daynaport SCSI/Link-T DP0801 SCSI-to-Ethernet adapter. Hopefully I can find the drivers for this little guy and get my Mac SE onto the tubes. It didn't come with a power supply, any documentation, or any cables, but I did find out that it...
