As for Apple's insane state of affairs reguarding iThing repairs, I think "American Shanzai" from the latest issue of 2600 (at time of writing) puts it nicely:

4. Overpriced (because it's "luxury")
I mean Apple products were always expensive but these days 1 and 3 in particular are much more evident. I mean, cellphones don't need 4 cameras on them.
