I have just bought a Quadra 950 of ebay and its working ok only problem it has no cdrom drive and I want to install AU/X 3.0 on it I know I should look around for a apple cdrom drive but there are lots of other scsi cdroms on ebay

mine has sonnet/encore st/G4 1.8Ghz CPU and 1GB memory
and there in lies my problem, nothing seems to work because of the upgrade.

I have just recently upgraded my G4 450MHz (sawtooth) with a Sonnet Encore 1.8Ghz processor and installed Leopard. I still have the original graphics card in it (ATI Rage 128 Pro) so Leopard is still a bit sluggish.
I want to put a better graphics card in it (AGP 2x/4X) to improve performance...
all fixed now I had to press the magic reset button next to the pram battery and a phone call to macupgrades where I got the Sonnet 1.8Ghz prosessor and they advised to select the "Archive and install" option when doing the Leopard install, all working ok now. Thanks for your help
I hit the reset button by the pram battery and it started to work ( well at least it's starting up now) I still got to figure out why Leopard is not booting
