As it turns out the Plus, as I suspected, does not like fast memory.  I found 4x 100ns 1MB modules in my OTHER SE and swapped them.  Both computers now report 4MB of memory.  The Plus with 100ns and the SE with 70ns.

Socketed.  I have AMI 344S0046-2 So the video controller has control of 3.5 ports?  What about smart port because that isn't working either.  Someone said on facebook that the smartport uses 5.25 part of things so if the 5.25 is working then the smartport should work.  Can anyone confirm this?
