I have about 3 beige and 2 blue and white G3 logic boards and it's almost 2024 and zero of them need a recap. Id say Apple used better caps on these boards. None of them show any signs of bulging or leaking.

Hello all, I just recapped a beige G3 PowerMac but still failed to get it to power on properly, meaning the power supply comes to life but the logic board does not chime or show power LED. I confirmed all caps are installed correctly and all local traces are good (old caps didn't leak that bad)...

Hey @Jockelill. Did you ever fix your Mac? I am having an issue that points to my ROMs and looking to burn some replacements. I found 27C400-105DC ROMs that I would like to try as those are the fastest I can find. Anyone know if those will work? Thanks in advance.

I had same problem and just replaced the logic board. I never could figure it out without a schematic and pulling these things apart is a royal pain.

Greetings All !! I finally finished restoring a Macintosh II logic board and all is working great. All except the internal speaker. I got zero audio from the speaker. The audio output jack works but only one channel ? I wasn't sure if this is a mono output or stereo output ? I thought I read...

I am pretty sure you don't need this cap. This is an AC filter cap which always blows up after time. Does the PS work without it ? If so, I wouldn't worry about it or eventually, you will have the same problem.

Thanks guys !! I actually have both revisions of the boards. They are pretty similar so this schematic should help. I really appreciate it guys ! As far as UG and UH getting hot, they get so hot I can't even touch them. I gonna fire up my working board to compare it with.  Thanks again !!
