BlueSCSI problem, is it HW or user error?

Thanks for the suggestions! I have gone through the troubleshooting documentation, but will take another look just in case. Not sure how picky the naming convention is, does it care about spaces, -, _, . etc? It says the LUN # is optional, so would this name be acceptable (assume yes since it's...

BlueSCSI problem, is it HW or user error?

Hello, I recently acquired a Mac SE and Mac Classic and purchased a BlueSCSI v2 DB25 to use with them. I carefully followed the instructions to assemble it and setup the FW and SD card. However, I have the same problem on both machines when attempting to use it, nothing shows up on the desktop...

Need a capacitor list for my Graphite iMac's Analogue board

I wasn't aware the Snow was more rare, that is good to know. Unfortunately, when I reassembled it enough to test it, it powered on but still had the same problem, dim screen and image stretched past the edges. After a few minutes, it shut off and now wont turn on at all. Very sad, but I'm going...

Need a capacitor list for my Graphite iMac's Analogue board

It was surprisingly clean inside, practically no dust and very little soot on the anode cable. When the CRT was working I didn't notice any issues with geometry, convergence etc. There seemed to be plenty of brightness left, however I did notice a slight burn-in at the top where the menu bar is...

Need a capacitor list for my Graphite iMac's Analogue board

I got this imac about a month ago and it was working fine for several hours, then suddenly the screen became very dim and stretched past the edges of the screen. After troubleshooting, I figured it was likely bad caps or shorted IC on the analog board. Assuming my repair is successful, I intend...

Did you have any success repairing yours, or has it been sitting since April when you started this thread?

Need a capacitor list for my Graphite iMac's Analogue board

Mine is the 2001 600Mhz Snow version, with an LG analog board. So far I've determined that Q704 (TIP122) was shorted. The Teapo/Su'scon caps did not instill confidence in me, so I figured I might as well recap it while I had it apart. It was a lot of work and I am currently doubting whether...

Need a capacitor list for my Graphite iMac's Analogue board

https://macdat.net/cap_reference/apple/imac/referencepdf.pdf I came across this list when working on my G3 iMac. It is almost the same as what I found on my board but a few minor differences where apparently Apple increased the voltage ratings on my newer revision. I plan to post the capacitor...

iMac G3 does not power on

If you haven't already, use your multimeter to test your fuse has continuity, and test the pins of the mosfets, bridge rectifier etc for shorts. Look for any spots on the PCB or components that are darkened from excessive heat. Check for loose and/or cracked solder joints. Hard to tell for sure...
