If it's not the cord, what could have broken this mouse (it's robust)? What's usually the cause?

I haven't tried an external monitor on the iMac DV 400 (these units are not in the same place btw). I have tried a homemade 20-pin to 15-pin VGA adapter for the iMac Indigo but nothing happened, I'm not sure if my homemade adapter works or not, though. Should the external monitor on the DV...

Hi. On floppy drives (superdrive) in Macs like the Color Classic, what causes it to not read and write? Dirt and grime causes that but is there something else? Do the heads deteriorate or loose their magnetism- how can this be restored to revive this kind of floppy drive? Thanks in advance.

The LC 575 logicboard is busted (it boots and load but there's no video- seems like it's video chip/card- if only I could find where this is in the board) and I'm scavenging parts from it for my other...

Hi. Can a weak battery be the cause of a Mac like an LC 575 to boot properly (power ON, ding, sound of hardisk loading) but have no video at all (even if you put the contrast on the bezel to full)? Has anyone experienced this kind of problem and fixed this with a fresh battery?
