Thanks for the purchase. I don't use applesauce but googling ddrescue I assume this is for fixing corrupted disk images? There is a built-in "HFS Check and Repair" option I put in the File menu. This wraps a utility from HFS Utils. A lot of the work in around Sector went into wrapping and modernizing HFS Utils. I don't want to get into including any other utilities. The HFS Check and Repair was already right there in HFS Utils so I included it, but I'm going to keep focusing mainly on disk image editing. So, sorry short answer is no will not likely bundle ddrescue.
