I found this device:

There is one review that claims good results with a Quadra 700 via VGA:

Naturally i have ordered the device right away, 86€ seems like a small price. It got delivered to a neighbor and they were on holiday, until today.

Does anyone have any experience with or seen this thing?

There is a small display and it can connect to Wi-Fi, apparently. I'm hunting for a firmware upgrade right now ...

Newest firmware is from 2022. :p Once connected to WiFi you can change settings via browser.

Sadly, i can't seem to find my VGA cable!

I've been aware of the GBS-C for a while.
Basically, what it is, is a generic RGB to VGA board designed as a cheap way of fitting LCD panels to arcade cabinets.

The original firmware was fairly crap though, so the GBS-8200 wasn't much liked, until a developer created an open source solution, adding a timing generator and EPS32 MCU to significantly improve the capabilities of the board, finally unleashing its full potential.
A lot of commercial, prepackaged solutions have sprung up since, as a decent budget answer to the OSSC and Framemeisters.

Interesting, i wasn't aware of hardware like this at all.

I guess i need to buy me some vintage game consoles to test it thoroughly. ;)
