Well, found a problem.. not sure if it silly will fix it lol.. well.. replaced those from a parts board and she is working 100%.. so have another nice pb170.. funny thing.. i took the battery out if this a put in my pb 180. About an hour later I tried to turn it on, no go.. pulled battery and it booted, but bottom of computer very hot.. so probably what happened to this 170
So, thought i fixed it. But hard drive making weird noises at times when trying to open something, and when I insert floppy it never mounts and then screen gets funny like having power issues?? Think board is beyond help. View attachment IMG_2983.MOV
Well, it turns out the quantum go drive was the issue.. drawing to much power.. put different drive in, think works like brand new.. so far no tunnel vision either.. been on 1/2 hour
Lol, yeah I thought drive was good. Was from a duo 230, not that that matters. Glad it works fine. No tunnel now even after an hour, so yay just need a keyboard so i can get keyboard and mouse working properly.
