are there bleeder resistors on 1986 SE analog boards?

just did a dang, fine safe CRT discharge and followed all precautions and instructions, but I heard nothing at all…Machine was on last night.

would make me feel better to hear something happen.

There are bleed resistors, sounds like they worked this time :)

Yeah you shouldn't hear anything on an SE.
It's the Plus and earlier where you may hear something when you discharge.

How long after shutting the power off until the resistors drain remaining charge in the CRT? I also didn’t hear anything on my SE but was curious about how long it should take?

I believe that if the bleeder resistor is working correctly, it should be immediate. However, if it's not, or if it doesn't have one, the CRT can hold a charge for an indeterminate amount of time. That's why the recommendation is to always manually discharge it.
