Trouble with Performa 6400 (2 logic boards - one no internal sound, the other no video ...)

Folks,
got one ... uhh ... 2 issues.

I have 2 Performa 6400/200 logic boards - both recapped.

Number 1: is working, except for the "internal" sound, front headphone is fine.

Number 2: is working, including internal sound, but does not generate video output.

The chassis cannot be the issue as the combination of both is working well.

Does anyone have a hint where to look for one or the other problem?

Do the serial ports work? They also use the -5V rail.

ADB a clear "yes" - let me check the other with a printer ...

Yes sorry, the one with no sound

ADB doesn't use -5V so would be fine. Not much does.
