I'm finally in the compact mac world!

Got my SE/30 and Rominator yesterday. played around with it a bit, getting ready to put 7.6.1 on it, had to have something to make floppies so i've got the performa there for that. I had a fun evening! Now I just have to avoid wife aggro with this project lol

Nice setup. If the external hard drive is large enough, I'd put your installers there, with a copy of Disk Copy on each computer's hard drive, that way you can mount the disk images and install software that way.

thats...exactly what i did, lol! with a bootable 7.0.1 as well. now just trying to get 7.5.3 to go on my pb180 which is giving me trouble... it's a 2gb IBM disk inside a generic SCSI enclosure

Very nicely kept machines.
thank you! i was happy to score them. i got the performa + monitor for $50 in knoxville TN, i hauled my ass over there to pick it up as fast as i could! it's a pitiful system though, but still fun. unfortuantely USPS destroyed the 6360 i bought on ebay, but i did get a full refund, so there's that. the shipping was actually very good but USPS "lost" it in pennsylvania for 4 months and when i got it back it looked like every mail truck in the fleet had run over it. so i still in the market for a PCI power mac, and a 68k mac with color, to round out the collection

Hmmm, just not enough RAM for a full install, or does it keep crashing? I started having issues with 7.5.3 on my C650. Wound up updating to 7.6, which fixed the problems I was having. Re: the damaged 6360, did you have to return it, or were you able to keep it for parts? If the latter, and the board survived, swap it into your 62xx series machine for more power...

What Performa is that?
Looks like a 6200 or a 6220. Maybe a 6300.

!!! Swap the board? I had no idea? It works even but the bezel is smashed to pieces and the cdrom wouldn’t work.
