Dead LCIII+ and 12" Apple Monitor (suspect power surge)

Well, my LCIII and matching monitor bit the dust somehow. Only thing I can think was a power surge/brownout we had a while back.  I went to turn it on a play some games and got the chimes of death, and the monitor won't show anything anymore. Tested it with another computer also.  The LCIII had been fully recapped by Uni, and had an ethernet card and FPU, maxed RAM and the extended VRAM card. :( I'm super bummed. I wonder if theres any way Uni can fix it, along with the monitor. The monitor was due for caps and stuff on the analog board, but everything had been working just peachy. Only working vintage Mac I have now is my G3 upgraded 7500.

Uni isn't availible for repairs anymore, so not sure what you are going to do.  You might want to take apart the monitor and see if the fuse is blown or anything looks burnt.

As far as the machine goes, you might want to see what It looks like on another working monitor and see if it gives a sad mac code.

Damn, no more Uni?? His website is still up though.. Man this stinks. Yeah I didn't think to plug it to another monitor and find a code. I'll try that. Maybe its time to find myself a nice Quadra 605 :)
