The first Mac SE prototype...?

That BookCaSE thing intrigues and pleases me greatly... as does this entire thread in fact! :D

I am curious as to what the machine is with the anodised G5-esque case.

Well, the BookCaSe is pretty incredible. I'm trying to imagine a modern LCD in there alongside the guts of a IIci or something similar. Wow.

Q77 was the codename of the June 2004 PMG5 revision, the one with 970fx chips, and 1.8, 2.0 and 2.5LC dual processor models.

Some other conquests...

A cooler bag+ radio Apple goodie, Twentieth Anniversary Mac graphite pen, a Golden Apple Club (employee select event) mousepad.

And sometimes, when digging back in you photo database, you even find pictures of some clear prototypes that you were NOT able to salvage at this time, sigh !

So this WAS my clear Mac II si, with its clear monochrome 12" monitor: A nice combination for a compact Mac. I don't think someone else could rescue it from the bin...

I think they were test boxes for a specific model. I forget which. But it is odd that it would be in two boxes.

Sadly, it doesn't look the cooler radio would work. It looks like the speaker is too ate up.  :(

The clear IIsi looks so nice! I wonder sometimes why Apple didn't market a clear model before the iMac G3s, which then were only translucent.
