SVPirate: Do you remember when Apple introduced the first Powermacs, and all the adverts said 'the first ever RISC desktop computer'? Acorn took an advert in the Times welcoming Apple to the RISC world, adding that they were only 5 or 6 years too late since the A305 appeared in 1987 with an ARM2 processor.Damn, Acorn ruled. A Mac SE or an A305? No contest!! The above is quite similar to whats just happened recently, with Apple announcing the worlds first 64bit desktop machine, when it quite obviously isn't :) |
