I'm going to remain passive for the rest of this ebay deal. I just ask for a couple scsi cables, couple ide cables, a 6100 video cable, and that's it. I was at the time, a little stressed out. Idea!: I requested the PowerExpress logicboard as well as one of the 9600's. I don't need the motherboard inside the 9600 though. Once I recieve the 9600, I would be willing to give you the 6 PCI slot 9600 logicboard, because I will be putting the PEx board inside the mini-tower. The only problem is that I can't ship it to you, but you can pick it up, or meet half way on one of the weekends (I am out on Long Island, so it shouldn't be too far. Exception on pickup would be the next two weekends, with my brother's HS graduation coming). I am glad to see that this has worked out in some way. I am proud of all the people who have helped in some way to repair the damage. Anyway, I'm totally happy with what I'm already getting but if there isnt alot of demand for all of the 630 upgrades (There are 3 right?) I'd love to spruce up my good ole Quadra. The reason is that the 630's power supply does not have a 3.3v supply, which the 5400 needs, as the 5400 has a redesigned mobo, which features a PCI architecture. If you just slide the board in, when you switch it on the fan will spin up, and it will just sit there. It won't do anything else. -------------------------- Pizzabox LCs RULE!!!!!!! It won't do anything else. that and the extra 10Mhz kicker on the system bus is the reason i have been watching for a reasonably priced 6500 board from the time i got my Sonnet G3 L2 Card a couple of years back. i'm also dying to do a 2 slot hack on my 6360 so i hope to get one or two extra riser cards if we have any that aren't needed for the mobos. some of the discussion on fritter implied that the 5400 boards would run but that the PCI subsystems would not be functional, not something i'd wanna try tho. so the 6400 and 5400 PSU's fit in the 630? i've never seen one. is the 5500 the first model in the 5XXX series to have the 6500 mobo, i has thought the 5400 might have also had it, i am hoping that these boards are ALL the faster roll your own 3.3v variety, that's what i'd expect given the cooked nature of almost everything else in the batch unless they are leftover pulls from cooking the boxes, dunno? jt ™. Although you can put a 5500 logic board in a 5400 and use the same RAM (as long as the RAM is EDO; the 5500 logic board doesn't like FPM RAM). The original board plays a mean game of Marathon oo, though, and that's all that matters to me. You know, my first machine was a Trash80 CoCo, but I haven't gotten a G4 yet. I definitely won't get into the details, but the reason I mention it now is because I'm offering up an apology and truce to Ti publicly for what I said. Dude, as soon as I flipped i lost all control of what I was saying. I hope that we can move on beyond everything and keep up with this ebay thing and the mla with a pleasant atmospere. P.s. If there is one more 6100 video cable, i could use it. But again, if it's taken, that's cool. Also one of those ethernet repeaters if that's still not taken... please p.p.s.
