. . . a couple of phrases around here were coined by myself, but we've been through the discussion of the origins of bork/borked/borken before, that bit of jargon probably pre-dates the ARPANET. http://info.astrian.net/jargon/terms/b/borken.html I found one that's new to me just now tho: ASCIIbetical order! jt . I believe that the credit for the invention of "bork" comes from Jim Henson, who created the muppet Sweedish Chef. http://www.google.com/intl/xx-bork/ is based on the sweedish chef language. heh. HAR came from the dial-up BBS days. HAR is the modified JTism. I remember finally figgering out what hartm meant on the Discovery Passage BBS I dialed up to, back in the early days of computing. Knackered is a term that I have used on occasion, a Britishism that is older than electricity. Glayven is a word invented by Matt Groening, to make his nerd dude more nerdy. anyway, that is my jargon explanation. HAR was a graphical modification of HARTM . . . something that I saw in common use over in unplugged . . . it took me the longest time to figure out its meaning over there. jt . Trash Hauler: call sign: eight-ball C.O. AC-130H SpecOps 68kMLAAF |

even so, I didn't start using it directly from the simpsons, it was my good friend Spenser (from WA) who used it alot... Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life"

Hey Cory. This is off-topic, but you need to check in at the Yard sale section of the community forums among other areas. For the Dictionary part, I think a new thread would be in order with just the sayig and it's MLA definition.
