I'll put my stock of Macs into the list. Most of these are not named yet, as I got a whole load of them on Monday and I haven't been very inspired since.Named Units: PowerBook "Pismo"/400 "Fides" (Lat. "faith" - part of a theme I had going) Performa 580 "Kitty Basket" (sort of a double entendre for me and my girlfriend) SE/30 "Soda Pop" IIx "Clade Runner" (named because of all the phylogenic analysis tools on its hard drive when it was liberated) IIci "Phoenix" (unless you had already named it, Cine...) LC "Bovinity Divinity" (named after a flavour of Ben and Jerry's - recall the LC's codename "Elsie" as in "Elsie the Cow") Unnamed Units: LC 475 LC III LC III LC SE SE SE SE SE Classic I also used to have an iMac rev. B named "Spes," but she was sold to a friend of mine, and is still very much in use and well-appreciated by her new owner. Yet another convert to the Mac Way! GORDOOM Commander, Academic Operations Reserve (University of Toronto, St. George Campus) total Macs liberated: 4 (as of November 8, 2001) "...the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." |

I'll include all macs in my household, as I don't personally own some of them, but they're in a loving environment and I use them-LCIII -LCII -Quadra 660av -Components of a Q800 soon to be made whole once again -Performa 6115 (ick, a 601) -iMac 333 (this one is mine - it's decked out for sure) -iMac DV SE 400 -PowerBook G3 bronze Macs we used to have: -Mac Plus -PowerCenter pro 180 -Powerbook 150 -Mac Classic As you can see, my liberation total is higher than my current inventory. I don't think we ever reached a real agreement on whether it counts if you liberate a mac and then pass it on to someone else who makes use good of it. I am operating under the assumption that it counts

This has been sooo overdone in the MacAddict forums. I'm not one to name computers,so i'll just list themI'll just put 68ks here because I'm sure nobody is interested in my PPCs Quadra 650 Quadra 610 (R.I.P. - fried mobo) Quadra 605 Centris 610 (funky video problem I haven't figured out yet) 512k LC II ColorClassic (internal monitor kicked the bucket, everything a shade of purple) LC III Macintosh IIci Macintosh IIfx (non-functional - I press the power button on the back and nothing happens) Macintosh IIsi Performa 600 (stripped for parts for IIci/IIfx/650) SE/30 (with PDS ethernet!) SE (800k drive / 20SC) SE SuperDrive (20SC is shot - one of these days i'll open it up and replace it...) Plus (a staple in the liberator's collection) The only one of these I have room for is my 650. The rest is in storage presently . When I move, however, most of the basement will be for me and my 68ks!

herm....most interesting.I used to have alot of macs but sorta sold them off when my wife nags too much about them, anyway i am down to: - iMac 233, my former home workhorse, now suffering from screen gitters - 7300, my son's mac and my hotline admin station - pismo 500, my main work machine, I work for a Unix company so it is pretty kewl to have a unix based Mac OSX at the work place. - Centris 650, used to be my Hotline Server, currently experimently A/UX on it. (it boots!) - 5200, also my former Hotline Server, swapped casing with my LC630, so that the 5200 could run as a server without any monitor or keyboard. - LC 630 in the 5200 casing is my in-laws, runs OS.761. general machine for kid's games (mame 0.28 runs slowly) - Color Classic with 040 upgrade card - Sitting pretty and not doing much. * too precious* to do anything on it. - se/30, actually an se with a se/30 motherboard upgrade, better than se/30 in my opinion coz the SE casing has the steve job's signature compared to the se/30 which has none. I use the asante scsi to Ethernet connector to connect it to the net. Machten 2.2 and netbsd used to run on it. - Classic, got it back from my cousins, !!@#@$@#%, all dirtied and totally mis-handled, my cousins ought to be shot! cheers!

How about a list of wintel boxes we've done in! *see footnote mine!/FatMac - 512k (my kid's nomenclature was somewhat more orignial, use his) Pooter - SE/Radius16 BigMac - IIx/RadiusRocket BabyPB - PowerBook 100 FlatMac - Quadra 630 TeleMac - LC/Quadra 630 hybrid - turned remote control/video observation setup BabyPB2 - Duo230 • • PowerDuo - Duo2300c • WordWright - (*Emphatically* NOT THAT WORD!) This is not entirely off topic as this monstrosity spent most of its miserable life as a cross-platform file transfer/backup/SCSI peripheral tethered at the end of the chain on my SE *which is the only reason its demise is beginning to be regretted, or that it spent any time at all in retirement*

Because other than 7.5.3 it's the only full install I happen to have besides the 9.2.1/10.1 disks that came with the iBook. I got it at a university auction and my guess is that it used to reside in the History department (although I could have gotten lucky and gotten one from Film Studies or Music) and that said, I don't reckon there will be oodles of RAM in it. (On the other hand, I was pleasantly flabbergasted to find 64 megs in Goatboy, but I think he came from System Computing Services.) 68K's liberated: 0 68Ks adopted to loving homes: 2 PowerMacs adopted: 1 |

that's a respectable list and you just came up with a great idea for your first topic posting. why don't go you start it over in 68k Peripherals. accessories would be a great thing to catalog, some of the troops hadn't heard of the PowerCD until recently, this should flush a lot of info into the mainstream aboput stuff to be on the lookout for while scrounging.welcome to the 68kMLA, stryder! jt =8-}
