WOW!!! A fella could do some SERIOUS hackage with all that junk! Too bad he's up in San Jose, that and I don't have even the $100 entrance fee to spare right now. Maybe TiMac will be interested, he's closer to the seller, anyway!666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Regular Disappear! P.S. - My favorite thing in the lot is the rounded, Apple mini SCSI tower and two matching speakers in the second to last pic. I've been looking for one of those for a long time, and they rarely seem to come up on eBay. Oh hey, I just noticed it appears again in pic #6...and...wait a minute...WHAT THE HECK IS THAT THING NEXT TO IT??? It looks like a detachable, biege, giant Duo keyboard and trackball assembly...??????666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Regular Disappear! That's what I was saying...what the heck is that thing in pic # 6? It looks like either some kind of intergrated, ADB keyboard/trackball that you'd put on your desk/lap and then connect to a desktop machine, or possibly some weird, beige powerbook part...I dunno. I really wish I had the money and time to drive up to NoCal to find out!!! 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Regular Disappear! |

I'm looking at it again...it's definitely not a PowerBook part, I mean look, it has full function keys and a double-sized "return" key. If that came from a 'book, it would have to be bigger than a Titanium G4! Plus, I can see what looks like an ADB cord running under it, which I'm assuming is attached to it. I think it's wither some weird, prototype ADB keyboard or a third-party peripheral.666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Regular Disappear! |

It would be super eays in fresno to sell them, one day at the Cherry auction can rank in a lot, and also eBay, if you want ( just saying) I could take just a few stuff and you could get what u want and you can keep them here and we could auction off and u get your money i wouldn't really care but for a few bucks.Jeremy "I'll see you on the Dark Side Of The Moon" - Pink Floyd Covert Ops 68k Hacks General Macs Liberated:18 ENTER THROUGH THE GATES |

I am almost certan that that keyboard is for an Apple Paladin, a very rare prototype that combined a Duo logic board and display, a printer, a fax machine, and a scanner, and a phone. The Paladin had a white keyboard, just like that one, with a trackball and two buttons, and a row of function keys on the top. If I am correct, than that keyboard is extremely rare, I believe the only Paladin sold on ebay went for several thousand dollars.AnubisTTP 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Macs Liberated:21 |

Now the question aboot that Paladin....is there MORE?? *smiles a sly, evil grin* So did we end up finding out if anyone is close enough to pick up? Perhaps a "joint effort" of money could be used to purchase this. I'd certain chip in a lil bit and see if tehre is anything good! ~The Optimistic Penguin |Captain, Intelligence Operations| There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path. 68k.torpedobird.com <-- Hotline Server |

The Paladin Keyboard theory seems to be the most plausable. See this picture and compare. And on the idea of a joint effort, I'd join up in the effort, but I think the only two within range of pickup are Cinemafia and TiMacLover, TiMac being closer, but without transportation. Somehow, I have a feeling that there will be few bids due to the forced pickup location, size of the load, and cost. ------------------ Captain Z - Sniper 68K Macintosh Liberation Army 18 68K Macs Liberated Visit Captain Z's Starbase of EV Stuff |

Warning to all those who read these forums:As we know, Trash80, Graphite Goodness, TiMac, myself, and others have all expressed interest in a joint venture on this auction. Be careful where you spread your information. We don't need an influx of people bidding on this because it has a Rare Paladin Keyboard and a Rare PowerExpress logicboard, among others. For the sake of humanity, don't tell the world, especially the idiot selling this stuff! This is golden! [edit: and if we do go in as a joint venture, I call dibs on just the PowerExpress logicboard and matching processor card. ] ------------------ Captain Z - Sniper 68K Macintosh Liberation Army 18 68K Macs Liberated Visit Captain Z's Starbase of EV Stuff Edited by - Captain Z on 30 May 2002 23:57:18 |

I suggest that before we start claiming multiple components, even without fully identifying them, we should catalog what we have here. This way everyone involved will have a better idea of what they are getting. So I would like to set a ground rule (at least I think I can), that you should only reserve 1 or 2 items before we have identified everything.(Mine being the PowerExpress MB and the assosiated daughter card) ------------------ Captain Z - Sniper 68K Macintosh Liberation Army 18 68K Macs Liberated Visit Captain Z's Starbase of EV Stuff |

I would be interested in participating in this group buy. I would like one of the G3 style tower cases if it has a motherboard and powersupply in it, or one of the curved towers (6400) if the G3 cases are just cases. (Actually I would really want to get my hands on that Paladin keyboard, but usually something that desirable would go to the person who actually picks it up) AnubisTTP 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Macs Liberated:21 |

i posted this topic and link from a lead from AF so i felt obliged to invite them in on the Big@$$BoxLotConsortiom i was hoping might actually work out this time and to establish DIBS! dunno about actually determining the pecking order for the swag, if the consensus of opinion is that my claim on that peripheral isn't appropriate i'll give it up, but not without a fight if somebody makes a break with comradely solidarity.eduimorphodon has offered to do a pickup as a last resort. as yet, he remains an uninterested party, so it looks like all systems are go. this is a summary of my war room post suggesting we keep all dialog within this thread and everything above board. if anybody decides to go renegade, it shouldn't look like anybody has been plotting in there (or anywhere) and i'd like to see all the discussion in the open anyway. the comradarie here means much more to me than a complete working paladin would. i am certain that the sniping at the end of this auction will put the winning bid out of the reach of any individual comrade or af ally, so let's not go there comrades! comments? jt ™. .

Ok gang, i got $20 in minimum. Like I said, I'm in on one of those towers (preferably a G3 one,if not a 6500 will do). Also I got a question. If you go to image #10....What ARE those two lil apple brand boxes NEXT to the SCSI box. Maybe I want those too....Hmm,anyone else got money in? On that note, does ANYone have enough money to bid and win this thing that all of us can then pay back? Just a thought.~The Penguin |Captain, Intelligence Operations| There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path. 68k.torpedobird.com <-- Hotline Server |
